Hello there!
So here I am writing my first blog post. Crazy! My page is still getting a bit of a cosmetic make over so please bear with me there!
So to start us off, a little about me.
My name is Cassie Wright. I grew up in small town and out in the country. We have what I would call a small farm and sawmill, but my dad would not because he is a very humble man. None the less, it was big enough for us, especially when you are a kid growing up where there are barns, and woods, and horses, and animals and fields. It’s like the WHOLE WORLD is literally your back yard, pretty awesome.
I got my first pony when I was 7 and sadly to say it passed away in our very large, bank barn fire, along with everything else in the barn expect for a few cows and pigs my family were able to rescue. But lucky for me my parents rock and they surprised me with my first 4-H project at the end of our lane, while I was getting dropped off the bus from school. It was a little turd of a pony I decided to call CaPache, just Pache for short. Bizarre name, yes I know, I was 8. Regardless, it rocked! He was about as stubborn as me, and even though I thought my parents were spoiling me by getting me a pony, they were actually teaching me responsibility, discipline, independence and how to care for another living creature.
So fast forward a lot of years, add total involvement in 4-H, FFA, Junior Fair Board, Student council, clogging, a career tech center, college-ish, some very poor decisions, meeting the guy of my dreams, and an amazing wedding, and here we are. 2016, almost 2017.
My life has been an amazing ride and I’m sure the best is yet to come. I want to share all those things with you. Being a newlywed is obviously something I have never done before and if I can figure anything out and make it easier for the next person, I sure hope I can! And I will be asking advice from some of you all as well! So please feel free to interact and reach out with me as well!
So here’s to the future! Thanks for joining my wild, surprising, and wonderful ride!
Stay sassy!
